Amie Baker Creative is a boutique graphic design studio focused on helping businesses and their brands through visual identities, print design and web design.
This project I’m sharing is one of my faves from this year. Square Peg Construction offers beautiful work and when we started working together and I was able to browse his portfolio of projects, I was inspired by his work! He needed a brand that would properly reflect his level of talent so we got to work to provide a brand that gave his style a great representation.

Taking a look at your competitors and discovering what makes you different is a crucial step in defining your identity. In this case, Shirley is a female attorney among many males and this presented an opportunity and challenge when designing her logo. I designed a logo that will appeal to both women and men while incorporating her personal style and taste.
It is important to let your logo and branding speak to your personality because it is the one thing that your competitors can’t copy, it is unique to you.
After finalizing a logo design, we worked on business card designs. The cards feature a subtle pattern behind the logo along with a clean and open layout.
It has been a while since I’ve shared some work on my blog with you! Today I am sharing a new logo design for a wedding venue, Heartland Ranch. This is a beautiful new venue space located in Graham, WA. This charming property has a lot to offer including scenery, amenities and the nicest owners you could ask for to work with!
When we partnered together and got to work discussing logo designs, a clear direction formed. We decided we would move forward with developing logo marks that referenced farm brands. Similar to what ranchers would use to brand their cattle. The logo also needed to reference a heart to highlight the heart shaped pond on the property. It was a fun direction for concepting and I’m pleased with the outcome.
The end of the year is magical for many reasons, the most obvious is the holidays. Business related, it is the drive that comes out in clients to get things done and I love it! This is the the time when most small businesses reflect on what goals were reached for the year and what goals were not. Magically, the determination of that unavoidable deadline of the year’s turn creates a fire under the feet of many.
I’ve been busy working on many great projects, here is snapshot of a few:
New websites are being constructed, designs of dated materials are being updated, logos are being designed,
late holiday promotions are being cranked through, and businesses are making things happen! I’ve also been taking time to make plans for my business in 2014 and set new goals.
With the way 2013 is coming to an end, I have no reason to not be excited for what 2014 holds for my clients and I.
If you’ve been putting off a wish list for your business marketing all year, send me a note and lets see what we can tackle!
One thing I love about my business is the diversity of projects and clients I work with. It isn’t uncommon for me in one day to start out working on a formal sales presentation only to switch gears to a project that couldn’t be more opposite, like this sign design project. My client is starting a business selling food that many love on a warm day with friends and family. These sign designs will speak for themselves!
Amie Baker is amazing. Her skills are top-knotch, her communication skills are great, she is very accommodating with deadlines, and she is incredibly nice along the way! Jeff Grant, President & Principal Broker of Sand & Sea Investments”
I partnered with Jeff, a real estate professional, to create a presentation PDF. The goal was to provide his clients with a branded piece that gave them a wealth of real estate knowledge directly relating to their needs. It was a great project to help on because I believed in what he was creating held value and would be a wonderful tool to him and his business.
Successful projects are often ones that demonstrate to your market that you are a professional, that you are willing to go the extra steps to help them and make things easier for them all while doing it behind a beautiful brand.
Homemade Essentials is an all natural cleaning product made from lovely scents of combined oils. This company is owned by a mom on a mission who became conscious of the cleaning products she was using in her home around her little one. As a mom, I can also relate to this. Featured above is the logo I create for her company. The bottle and label designs for the actual products are still in the works.
